Urban planning for sustainable health in focus of new conference

An exciting line-up of medical experts, specialists in urban planning, sports managers and academics will gather in Yverdon-les Bains, in the canton of Vaud, on 27 November 2017 to address the pressing topic of "Urban Planning for Sustainable Health". The event, organised jointly by the sports department of the city of Yverdon-les-Bains and the School of Business and Engineering Vaud (HEIG-VD), marks the first edition of the new conference series "Physical Activity - Innovation - Health".

The subject is relevant for all public and private institutions, as well as for everybody interested in the development of an active city. The challenges in terms of sustainable health are transversal and the conference is aimed at forming synergies between different stakeholders in urban planning and innovative approaches. The creation of this new event is also a strong sign of the political will to set up a multi-disciplinary governance system in Yverdon-les-Bains and region dedicated at addressing local, national or international matters related to sport and physical activity.
