Monitoring Slipping Angles During Motorcycle and Ski Racing
Measurement of the orientation of motorcycle and ski.
The orientation of the motorcycle/ski was determined by MEMS-IMU/GNSS integration and compared with the velocity vector in the local-level frame. The skidding angle was determined from the differences. In case of skiing, the sensors were rigidly fixed to the racer boot.
