At ThinkSport, we are proud to have supported UEFA through a unique project focused on strengthening the foundations of grassroots women’s football in Switzerland—a timely initiative as the momentum around the women’s game continues to grow across Europe.
This multi-faceted project tackled key challenges around infrastructure, coaching, retention, and digital engagement, in close collaboration with academic and industry partners including HEAD Genève, HEIG-VD, UNIGE, Amazon, Adidas, Disney, and ETH Zurich’s Game Technology Center.
From exploring how better-designed changing rooms can foster inclusion, to understanding motivational coaching styles and creating engaging digital experiences—each initiative was designed with a clear goal: to keep more girls and women playing football, longer.
With the record-breaking UEFA Women’s EURO setting a new benchmark—657,291 fans in stadiums and an average of over 20,000 per match—the time to invest in inclusive, sustainable growth for the women’s game has never been more critical.
We’re honoured to play a part in UEFA’s efforts to build not just better tournaments, but stronger pathways for the next generation of players, coaches, and fans and are now looking at bringing these learning to other sports with similar challenges.
