Sport Innovation Challenge – For Startups

In this format, a partner presents a specific innovation topic, inviting startups from around the world to propose solutions. Following an application process, selected startups compete in an online semi-final, with the top five finalists advancing to the grand showcase at THE SPOT. There, they present their solutions to an audience of industry professionals and a jury of experts, driving visibility and potential collaborations.

Gen-next Challenge

Designed to engage the next generation of innovators, this challenge invites students to tackle a real-world problem presented by a key player in the sports ecosystem. Working in teams, students develop innovative concepts over the course of the challenge, with mentorship and industry insights guiding their journey. The competition culminates in a final event at the end of the year, where teams present their solutions to stakeholders, inspiring the broader sports community.

Data-Hack Challenge

The Sport Innovation Challenge (SIC) are annual challenge organized by ThinkSport where participants find innovative solutions to solve current and future issues for the sport industry.

Data-Hack is for tech universities that compete through their teams against other universities.

This year it addresses challenges from the International Skating Union ISU, is co-organized by scoreTec, sponsored by Swiss University Sports and Alibaba Cloud.

Innovation Booster – Sport & Physical activity

The Innovation Booster was a four-year initiative supported by Innosuisse, with ThinkSport serving as the Leading House. In collaboration with EPFL and UNIL, the Booster fostered innovation by bringing together businesses, academics, and sports organizations to develop pioneering solutions through open innovation.
