In this format, a partner organisation defines a key innovation challenge, inviting startups from around the world to propose solutions. The process unfolds in three key stages:
- Application & Selection – Startups submit their innovative ideas, outlining how their solution addresses the challenge. A panel of experts reviews the applications and selects a shortlist of the most promising concepts.
- Online Semi-Final – The shortlisted startups compete in a virtual pitch round, where they present their solutions to the SIC Board. The top five finalists are chosen based on innovation, feasibility, and potential impact.
- Grand Showcase at THE SPOT – The five finalists advance to a high-profile, in-person showcase at THE SPOT, where they pitch their solutions to an audience of industry professionals, investors, and a jury of experts. The competition provides valuable exposure, networking opportunities, and the chance to secure industry partnerships.
With prizes and recognition at stake, the Sport Innovation Challenges offer startups a unique opportunity to test their ideas, gain visibility, and connect with key players in the sports industry.
