ThinkSport General Assembly 2025: Aligning for Impact and Growth

The ThinkSport community gathered this month in Lausanne for the 2025 edition of our General Assembly, marking a meaningful halfway point in what has already been a dynamic year. The session offered members, partners, and observers the opportunity to reflect on recent achievements, share insights, and look ahead to what’s next.

Reflecting on a Year of Purposeful Progress

From June 2024 to May 2025, ThinkSport’s activities continued to grow in both reach and impact. Key highlights included two successful editions of THE SPOT, the continued evolution of the Sport Innovation Challenges, and the growing influence of the SPOTlight series. These initiatives are helping shape a stronger, more connected innovation ecosystem, locally and internationally.

The General Assembly also offered space to revisit ThinkSport’s core mission: connecting the dots between sport, business, science, and innovation, while promoting the Canton of Vaud as a vibrant hub for sport innovation. With over 230 organisations and numerous stakeholders engaged through events and activities, the community has never been more active or more collaborative.

Members heard updates from the ThinkSport team on developments across our innovation, partnership, and communication efforts. This included new tools introduced to strengthen operations, a growing international footprint, and recognition as one of the 15 leading global SportsTech Innovators.

Looking Forward

The Assembly also served as a platform to share upcoming initiatives, including the upcoming SPOTlight sessions and new collaborative projects in development with organisations such as FIBA and Swiss Olympic.

Most notably, we were thrilled to confirm that THE SPOT 2026 will return on 4–5 May 2026, again bringing together a unique mix of thought leaders, innovators, and changemakers at the Olympic Museum.
